The picture is not correct but the ball is in uniform motion

pranavi2003: the picture is right okay
pranavi2003: actually the diagram shows the position of the ball as it rolls down track
pranavi2003: the ball took 0.5 s to roll from one position to the other

hey pranavi
1. the speed of ball is non uniform because it covers unequal distance at the equal interval of time (0.5s told by questionnaire in comments ).

2. total distance =50cm
the ball takes 0.5s to come from one position to another position
so distance covered by ball in 0.5s = AB
distance covered by ball in 0.5+0.5s (1second)=AB+BC
distance covered in 1.5s = AB+BC+CD
distance covered in 2s = AB+BC+CD+DE
distance covered in 2.5s =AB+BC+CD+DE+EF= AF=50cm (shown in figure)
now we know that ball took total time of 2.5s to cover whole distance of 50cm .

3.average velocity of ball from A to F
= Total distance traveled/total time taken
= 50/2.5=20cm/s
hope it helped you
