Answer:

(i) 5 rupees net profit

(ii) so 75 pens should be sold to achieve no profit no loss

Step-by-step explanation:

Part (I) =

profit earned by selling 25 pens = 25x2=50

loss incurred by selling 15 notebooks = 15x (-3) = -45

total profit or loss = 50+ (-45) = 5

5 rupees net profit

Part II

let number of pens sold is P then profit will be 2P

let number of notebooks sold is N then loss incurred will be 3N

if total number of notebooks sold is 50 on a given day then loss will be

3x 50= 150

to attain no profit and no loss

2P should be equal to 150

so 2P= 150

P= 150/2 = 75

so 75 pens should be sold to achieve no profit no loss
