A steamer goes downstream and covers the distance between two ports in 6 hours while it covers the same distance upstream in 7 hours. If the speed of the steamer is 4 km/h, find the speed of the steamer in still water.​

Upstream Speed = u - v

where, u is speed of streamer in still water and v is speed of the stream.

Time required for distance traveled in upstream Speed = 7

Time required for distance traveled in downstream Speed = 6

Distance covered in both cases is equal.

Distance = speed * time

Distance traveled in upstream = distance traveled in downstream

7(u - v) = 6(u + v)

v = u/13 = 4/13 kmph
