A stick, assumed to be 1 m long, measured the sides of a rectangular field. The area thu
calculated was 900 sq. m. Later on, it was discovered that the actual length of the sticks
90 cm. Find the correct area of the rectangular field.

Answer:Area calculated by assumed to be 1 m long stick = 625 m²

=> side supposed to be 25 m or 2500 cm

But every 1 m is actually = 90 cm

=> 25 m = 90 x 25 = 2250 cm

=> side actual length = 2250 cm

=> area = 22.5 m x 22.5 m

=> actual area = 506.25 m²

Answer:

The area found when stick is 1m is = 625m2

The side of the square when stick is 1s:

625−−−√m

⟹25m

Now the stick was found to be 90cm which is equal to 0.9m

The side of square in 1m was 25m

The side in 0.9 m would be 25*0.9 ⟹22.5m

Thus the actual area would be:

⟹22.5∗22.5m2

⟹506.25m2

Thus the actual area is 506.25 m2
