Height = 500m
First we have to find the time taken to reach the lake from the top of the tower.
S =1/2 at² (u =0)
500 =1/2 ×10×t²
Time taken =10 secs..(1) (to reach the lake).
Time taken to hear the splash....
Velocity = distance /time
Time =distance/velocity
time =500/340
Time =1.475 (1.5 appx.)
Total time =10 +1.5
Total time taken =11.5 secs.
