Time taken by stone to fall

T = sqrt(2H/g)

= sqrt(2 * 44.1 / 9.8)

= 3 seconds

Time taken by sound to travel = 3.13 - 3 = 0.13 seconds

Velocity of sound = Distance / Time

= 44.1 / 0.13

= 339.230 m/s

For downward motion of the stone:

s=ut+(1/2)at²

44.1=(1/2)×9.8×t²1

t1=3s

For reflected sound wave:

d=vt

44.1=v(3.13−3)

v=339.23 m/s

I hope this helps u
