Final velocity = (2gh)^1/2
= (2*9.8*19.6)*1/2
=(19.6*19.6)^1/2

Final vel = 19.6 m/s

Initial velocity,u = 0 m/s

Acceleration due to gravity, g = 9.8 m/s^2

Height of tower, H = 19.6 m

Final velocity of the stone, v = ?

From the equation v2 = u2 + 2as —>

v2 = u2 + 2gH

v2 = 0^2 + 2 * 9.8 m/s2 * 9.8 m

v = €384.16 m2s-2 = 19.6 ms-1
