So ,

Using first equation of motion,

v=u+at ..... (a=g)

0=u+(-10)×30 ........ (gravity acts always downwards)

u=300m/s.

Now,

Using last equation of motion,

v²-u²=2as

0-300= 2 ×(-10)×height

Height =15 m

Hence, the stone would rich 15 m.
