A stone is thrown vertically upward with an initial velocity of 14ms-1 .after how long will the stone strike the ground​

Acceleration    = 9.8 m/s

From 1st equation = V = u + at

0 = 14 + 9.8t

-14 = 9.8t

t = -14/9.8 = 1.43 seconds( since time cannot be negative)

Since they ask time taken to reach ground, then it will be 2t = 2*1.43

2.86 seconds
