GIVEN: A store sells ice cream with assorted toppings. They charge $3.00 for an ice cream plus 50 cents per ounce of toppings. If Alejandro’s ice $3.50 cream costs more than Dakota’s ice cream.

TO FIND:  much more did Alejandro’s toppings weigh

SOLUTION:

The selling price for just the ice cream is 3 dollars and the topping is for 50 cents.

Total SP= 3.5

So the ice cream weighs 3 and 1 ounce of toppings is 50 cents

Now, Alejandro’s ice $3.50 cream costs more than Dakota’s ice cream that means 0.5 dollars difference

so when we find the difference it will be equal to 5.

The weight of the toppings is 5.
