The Door Under The Stones In The Woods

Chapter 1: The Find

As I was walking with my friend through the woods, I saw a door beneath two huge stones. I remembered finding a strange key on the ground where this door was, but I didn't remember the door being there. I decided to try the key, and it opened the door. I was so excited that I just ran inside the dark tunnel.

As my friend and I were walking, we came upon a magnificent forest. It was ugly on the outside, because it looked like a dark forest, but when we came in the inside, it was beautiful! The trees were made of solid gold, but they could still move. The grass was made of pure silver, and the plants were made of real garnets, amethysts, diamonds, aquamarines, rubies, and sapphires. The creatures were weird as well.

Instead of wolves, foxes, bears, and bugs, there were these: Unicorns, goblins, fairies, Pegasus's, trolls. Red caps, Bogart's, hobo goblins, centaurs, Minotaur's. Sprites, spirits, huge spiders, snakes, serpents. Basilisks, hippogriffs, mermaids, and fire hawks.

We then walked up to a black unicorn and asked it, " Where are we?" The unicorn then spoke, "You are in Mystic Forest, the forest of happiness." The unicorn must have been male, because it had a deep, proud voice. The unicorn looked at us closely and said, "The prophesy is true, they are in my presence." "What are you talking about?" We asked.

"You do not know the prophesy!? What have those humans taught you?" He asked. "Um, math, reading, and science? What is the prophesy?" We asked. "It all started one hundred years ago, when our leader died. We were all scared, but Mother Earth told us that two young girls, age twelve, would save the prince of Aetha, the world you stand in now."

"The girls will travel to the castle of Solem and defeat Cynder, The Dark Dragon. She is the one who trapped the prince, and is standing there, guarding it still. I was her servant as The Dark Unicorn, but when I tried to help the prince, she tortured me, and told me to leave and never come back. So I settled here, and waited for the chosen ones to arrive," he told us. "How do you know it's us?" We asked.

"I know because you are the only ones who found the key," he told us. He then picked up a piece of paper with his mouth, and handed it to us. It was a map from the Mystic Forest to the castle of Solem. "Follow the map, it will take you there. Now, you two go, but you will need a ride." He looked up into the sky, yelling out, "Come Natarlia and Nagini!"

Out of the air came two purple and pink hippogriffs. "Now, save us all, and be careful, for Cynder is very strong." We then mounted the hippogriffs, and watched as the forest got smaller and smaller.
