stretched to C along the line AB such that AC = 3 AB. Find the coordinates of C.

AC=3AB

so that C is dividing the line extrnally

AB:AC=1:3

let (x,y)be the point C

now

C(x,y)=[(mx2-nx1)÷m-n,(my2-ny1)÷m-n]

=[3(1)-1(2)÷3-1,3(0)-1(5)÷3-1]

=[3-2÷2,-5÷2]

=[1/2,-5/2]

so(1/2,-5/2) is the point C
