Given:

  • The length of the road is 2 km 50 m.
  • The distance between each two trees is 10 m.

To find:

Total number of trees are planted in the road.

Solution:

The length of the road is 2 km 50 m.

We know that,

1 km = 1000 m.

∴ The length of the road in m_

(2×1000)+50 m

= 2000 + 50 m

= 2050 m.

The distance between each two trees is 10 m.

∴ Total number of trees are planted on the road side are_

(2050÷10)

= 205 trees.

∴ Total 205 trees are planted on the road side.

Answer:

205 trees are planted on the road side.
