The magnetic moment of the strip will be  $\frac{M(\pi-2 }{\pi }$

Explanation:

L= $\frac{1}{2}$x 2$\pi$r

r=$\frac{L}{\pi }$

M1=M(2$\pi$)=M x $\frac{2L}{\pi }$

M1=$\frac{2M}{\pi }$

For semi circle, M1=2MpI

decrease in M,M=M−M1

Thus,

The magnetic moment of the strip will be  $\frac{M(\pi-2 }{\pi }$
