Answer:
let length of rectangular box is L=4, width is W=5 and hight is H=9.
let the distance between bottom left conner and bottom right conner be "d" and can be find as by using Pythagoras theorem
d^2=L^2+W^2
by putting values we get
d^2=(4^2)+(5^2).
d^2=16+25
d^ 2=36
taking under root on both sides we get
d=6.
Let the distance between bottom left conner and right upper conner be "D"
and can be find as using again Pythagoras theorem
D^2=d^2+H^2
by putting values we get
D^2=(6^2)+(9^2)
D^2=36+81
D^2=117
taking under root on both sides we get
D=(117)^(1/2).
So length of straw is (117)^(1/2).
