Our country is over populated. Roads are also busy. So, street accidents have become quite common. Most often accidents take place for careless driving. Everyday we find the news of many road accidents in newspaper. Last week I saw a serious street accident. It took place before my eyes. A young boy was crossing the Mirpur Road. Just at that time a truck was coming at a great speed. A boy was run over by the speedy truck. The truck did not stop rather it speeded away. I rushed to the spot. To my horror I saw that, he was no more a human body but a lump of flesh. I was greatly shocked at this tragic scene. I could not forget the scene. We should bear up in mind that life is more valuable than time.

A street accident is nowadays an everyday occurrence in India which takes place mainly on the highways of busy cities and causes havocs to lives and properties. Many factors are responsible for this mishap. The most common reason is driver without driving license. Many of the drivers in Bangladesh do not have driving license. Even there is a licensed driver, sometimes the helper drives and the licensed driver takes rest. Besides, some of the drivers drive very recklessly and they try to overtake which in many cases cause a street accident. Moreover, some of the drivers overwork. They drive by day and drive the night coach also on the same day which causes much fatigue and they feel sleepy. Consequently, serious street accidents are occurred . Furthermore, mechanical trouble is another reason of occurring street accidents. The drivers, in many cases, do not check the engines properly before they start driving. In addition,  There are many unfit, defective and obsolete buses in our country which is also a reason of happening road accident. In our country, there are too many vehicles on road. Again, the roads are two-lane raod without dividers. So, sometimes there head on collisions and the buses skid off. Even the police cannot control the traffic rule breakers. They dash small vehicles and kill many people. It is also true that some pedestrians do not use overbridge and zebra-crossing. As a result, some of them crushed under wheels of the heavy vehicles. There is lack of overbridge and zebra-crossing in our country which is another reason of occurring raod accidents. Sometimes , some vehicles fall into roadside ditch thus kills many lives. The narrowness of raods are also responsible for raod accidents. To solve this problem our general people have to made aware. The drivers have to be skilled. And the authority should take necessary steps to solve problem.
