A student completes first half of the paper in a examination in 2/3 of the time it takes him to complete the second half. If the entire examination takes him an hour. how many minutes does he spend on the first half of the paper of the examination

total time of the examination = 1hour = 60minutes.

now, the student takes 2/3 of the total time to complete the first half. therefore, the student takes 2/3*60 minutes = 40 minutes to complete the first half of the paper.
