A student conducted an experiment to show CO₂ is released during respiration.
For obtaining correct observations, following precautions should be kept in mind:
1. Always use freshly prepared KOH solution and as KOH is corrosive so handle it carefully.
2. The experiment set up must be air-tight.

just take quick lime (CaO) in a glass and straw exhale in the straw if slaked lime turns white.....this CaO + Co2 ---> CaCO3
2nd take the exhale gas in tube immediately close the tube with cork when KOH is added to that tube KOH colour changes :-)
