Step-by-step explanation:

Answer: Student's score in English is 60, Physics is 50 and Economics is 90, marks each out of 100. Since each paper is of 100 marks and we have English, Physics, Economics and Maths, therefore the overall marks will be 400. For scholarship he needs to obtain 72% of 400.

He needs a total of 4 * 72 = 288 marks.

He had already achieved 60+50+90= 200 marks.

He needs a further 288 - 200 = 88 marks.

Basically, if s/he can't work this out themself, they are unlikely to be capable of gaining enough marks
