It is because hematite is the iron ore & we do magnetic sepration method only for the substance which are made up of iron or have iron content in it.

The student has chosen the magnetic separation method for the concentration of haematite ore because -

• The ore concentration is a process where the necessary metal or mineral is seperated from the unwanted materials present in the ore.

• Now,the haematite is an ore of the iron metal which is a ferromagnetic metal.

• And,we know that ferromagnetic metals are easily attracted by the magnets.

• That's why the student has chosen the magnetic seperation method to perform the job without any problem.
