a student has some Glucose water and some boiled rice how will the two item we have been tested with iodine solution and thin paper

boiled rice with Iodine will turn thin paper blue, glucose will not have any effect. this is a basic example of iodine test which is, iodine solution turns blue when it comes in contact with starch
