The X and Z test tube requires heating to remove water of crystallization.

  • Crystal hydrated copper sulphate having formula CuSO_4.5H_2O is blue in color and releases water of crystallization on heating. As the colour of copper sulphate in test tube X and Z is blue so, they will release water on heating.
  • Anhydrous copper sulphate has white colour.
