To show the presence of CO2 you have to do simple experiment

1) Take freshly prepared limewater

2) Blow air in it with the help of straw

The limewater will turn milky

The Limewater which is CaOH is transparent but when it reacts with CO2 it turns into CaCO3 which is opaque.

The equation is as follows

Ca(OH)+CO2= CaCO3

Hope will help.

Lime Water Breath Experiment

Procedure:

* Take a beaker

* Pour some lime water in it

* Take a small pipe and dip it into the lime water

* Blow air out of your mouth into the beaker with the help of the pipe

Observation:

* You will notice that the lime water turns milky white.

When carbondioxide dissolves in lime water it turns milky white.

This proves that we exhale carbondioxide.

Hope this will help you
