so

\displaystyle x^{\log_x 2-x} = 2-x

Thus the equation becomes

2-x = 3

=>  2 = 3+x

=> x+3 = 2

=> x = 2 - 3

=> x = -1

So x = -1 is the only candidate for a solution.  Putting it back into the original equation, we see that it is not a solution though as we cannot have a logarithm with a negative base.  Therefore there is no solution to the equation.
