His teacher asked to report him is she observes Karyokinesis or Cytokinesis in Amoeba.
Can you explain the meaning of these two words?

Answer:

Thanks for the query !!

In the Binary fission in Amoeba there are 4 main processes.

  • Elongation of Amoeba
  • Karyokinesis
  • Cytokinesis
  • Formation of Daughter cells

Here, Karyokinesis is the process of splitting of the nucleus of Amoeba and distributed to the daughter cells.

Cytokinesis is the process of splitting of cytoplasm and distributing it evenly to the daughter cells.

These help in generating Parental qualities in Daughter cells.

Hope my answer helped !!
