It turned orange on heating due to a pigment called urochrome being there in the sample.

Urochrome is also known as Urobilin and it is the chemical that is basically responsible for the yellowish color of our urine.

It is a linear tetrapyrrole compound. Along with with related compound urobilinogen, it is also the degradation product of the cyclic tetrapyrrole heme.
