8355*89=743595
8355*98=818790
difference in the answer=818790-743595
= 75195

Given:

The number 8355 is multiplied by 89 instead of 98.

To Find:

The number by which the wrong answer is lesser than actual one.

Solution:

Since, we have to find the amount by which the wrong answer is lesser than the actual anser, we shall have to first find the actual answer and the wrong answer, and then find their difference.

So, lets first find the wrong answer, i.e,

8355 \times 89 = 743,595

So, Wrong Answer = 743,595

Now, lets find the actual answer:

8355 \times 98 = 818,790

So, Actual answer = 818,790

Now, we will find their difference:

Amount by which the wrong answer is lesser than actual one

= Actual Answer - Wrong Answer

                                                        = 818790 - 743595

                                                        = 75,195

So,

The wrong answer is lesser by 75195 from the actual answer.
