A student obtained a sharp image of a burning candle, placed at the farther end of a laboratory table, on a screen using a concave mirror, For getting better value of focal length of the mirror, the subject teacher suggested him for focusing a well illuminated distant object.what should the student do. Explain the reason

The student can move the object well beyond the focal length of the mirror so that the image gets foccused at the principal focus of the mirror and a distinct image can be obtained

He should move the screen towards the mirror.

Explanation- the burning candle is at finite distance but beyond 2f so the image will form between f and 2f. Now the object is at infinity so the image will form at focus and focus is near the mirror therefore in order to get the image of a distant object he should move the screen towards the mirror
