a student placed a silver bangle in a copper sulphate solution expecting to see a brown deposit of copper on the bangle. what happened

No reaction take place. silver being less reactive than copper doesn't react with copper and doesn't form any coating

As we know that copper is more reactive than silver. Copper displaces silver from its salt solution becoz of which you can see a reddish brown deposit on the bangle
