Simple split 2 in 4 parts = 25 % each now

The over all increases in mass is 3.5 -2= 1.5

hence 0.5 = 25 then

0.5 + 0.5 +0.5 = 25 +25+25

Total 75%

Mass of dry resins: 2 g

Mass of soaked resins: 3.5 g

Calculation:

Mass of water absorbed = Mass of soaked resins - Mass of dry resins

= 3.5 g - 2 g

= 1.5 g

Percentage of water absorbed by dry resin = (Mass of water absorbed/ Mass of dry resins) * 100

= (1.5/2)*100 %

= 75 %

Precautions:

 1.  Have sufficient water for all the raisins to absorb water.

 2. wipe out the water dripping from raisins when you take them out of water.

 3.  Keep the raisins for long time sufficient for them to absorb water completely as much as they can.

4,  See that the temperature is recorded at the beginning, during and end of the experiment.  Changes in temperature can alter the values a little.

5. have all raisins immersed completely and they are not too closely packed that water cannot penetrate between them.

6.  If there is any label or paper that is stuck on the raisins, remove them..

hope it helped you
