A student set up an electric circuit as shown in the figure below. He placed the metal to be tested in the circuit between terminals A and B as shown. a) Does the bulb glow? What does this indicate? b) Why are electric wires coated with rubber like materials?

a)yes the bulb will glow. it indicated that metal is a good conductor of electricity

b)the electric wire is coated with a rubber-like material as a safety measure as rubber is a bad conductor of electricity it will prevent us from getting shocked
