A student set up the apparatus for the experiment to show CO2 is released during respiration. He kept a small test tube containing KOH pellets in conical flask. i. Why the kept small test tube containing KOH pellets in conical flask? ii. What he will observe after 2 hrs. of setting the experiment.

This causes the water level in the delivery tube to rise.

i. he kept the KOH pellets to absorb the carbon do oxide produced by the germinating seeds.

ii. after two ours the carbondioxide released by the seeds, will turn the lime water milky.
