he is suffering from myopia where he can see nearby objects clearly but distant object seem to be blurred the image is formed before the retina not on the retina

increase in the power of the lens ie focal length of the lens decreases,excessive curvature of the eyeball are the reasons for its defect

using of an appropriate glass of concave lens can make the image fall on retina
