The rocket goes 145 m. above sea level.

  • The process of subtracting one number from another is called subtraction.
  • Some terms from the subtraction expression are used when subtracting two numbers: The number that the other number is subtracted from is called the minuend. The amount that needs to be removed from the minuend is known as the subtrahend. Difference is the outcome obtained by deducting the subtract from the minimum.

Here, according to the given information, we are given that,

The height of the submarine below sea level = 65 m.

The height that the rocket reaches when fired from the submarine = 210 m.

Then in order to get the height of the rocket above the sea level, we get,

(The height that the rocket reaches when fired from the submarine) - (The height of the submarine below sea level) = 210-65 = 145m.

Hence, the rocket goes 145 m. above sea level.
