A submarine was situated 700 m below the sea level. If it ascends 250 m, what is its new position?

Answer: The new position of submarine is 550 feet below the sea level.

Let's consider the the 700 below see level as=-700

Now consider 250m= 250m

It's new position will be -700+250=-450m

So the new position will 400 m below the sea level.
