a substance does not allow current to flow through it. it however gets electrified when rubbed with cat skin. a)what is the nature of this substance. b) would it show high, low or very high resistivity give reason

The answer to your question is "insulator".

Reasons:-

A) The nature of the substance is insulator.

B) It must shows low resistivity.Because since it is insulators the electrons are tightly bound to the nucleus. There is no space to move.

And we all know that it possesses very high resistance and resistance is inversely proportional to the resistivity.
