here we have,
lenght of suitcase = 80cm,breadth = 48cm and height = 24 cm
c.s.a of suitcase = c.s.a of cuboid = 2(l+b)*h
=2(80+48)*24 = 6144 cm^2
length of tarpulin be x and breadth = 96 cm
area of tarpaulin cloth = length*breadth
=x*96
since the cloth is to be covered in the suitcase therefore, area of suitcase = area of tarpulin cloth
therefore , 96x = 6144
x = 6144/96 = 64 cm
hence, length = 64 cm
therefore metre of cloth required = (96+64)*100/100 = 160m
