A --> 60% of s = 60/100 x s

B got 1170 less than 60s/100

i.e 6s/10 - 1170

But A + B = s
6s/10 + 6s/10 - 1170 = s
12s/10 - 1170 = s
12s/10 - s = 1170
2s/10 = 1170
s/5 = 1170
s = 5850

A --> 60/100 x 5850 = Rs 3510
B --> 3510 - 1170 = Rs 2340

so

60x/100+60x/100-1170=x

120x/100=x+1170

120x=100x+117000

20x=117000

x=5850

B got 4130-1170=Rs2960
