Answer:

The correct answer is Rs.960.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the total number of kids and Rs.y be the amount of money given to each student.

The entire amount of money is therefore =xy.

Each youngster will receive Rs. 10 more if there are only 7 instead of 8.

everyone will receive Rs. 10+y.

Money total = (x−8) × (y + 10)

⇒(x−8)(y+10)=xy

xy+10x−8y−80=xy

10x−8y−80=0

10x−8y=80 ....................... (1)

If there are 16 more children, each child will receive Rs. 10 less.

As a result, everyone will receive Rs. y − 10

Money total equals (x+16)(y−10)

⇒(x+16)(y−10)=xy

   xy−10x+16y−160=xy

  −10x+16y−160=0

  −10x+16y=160 ..................... (2)

Addition of (1) and (2),

Will give

−8y+16y=80+160

8y=240

y = \frac{240}{8} = 30

In the equation (1),

10x=80+8y

10x=80+240

10x=320

x= \frac{320}{10} = 32

Money total =xy=32×30

=Rs.960
