Let the total number of boys be x
Now according to the question-
120/x +1 = 120/(x-4)
(120 + x)/x = 120/(x-4)
(120 +x)(x-4) =120x
120x + x2 - 480 - 4x = 120×
x2 - 4x- 480 = 0
x2 - 24x + 20x - 480 = 0
x (x- 24) + 20(x - 24) =0
(x-24)(x+20) = 0
Therefore x= 24 or -20
Number of boys = 24
Hence no. of boys never be negetive
