A sum of Rs.2000 is in the denominations of Rs.50 and Rs.10 notes. If the total number of notes be 80, find the number of notes of each type

TO FIND ;-

Find the number of notes of each types = ?

SOL ;-

We don''t know the total no. of notes of cost Rs. 50 , so let us take it as x

 
Also we dont the total no. of notes of cost Rs. 10 , so let us take it as
    
                                                               = 80 - x
                                                             
                                                               { Because total no. of notes is 80 }

⇒ Using the values let us  derive an equation for it  for it .......


⇒   50   x   + 10  ( 80 - x  ) =  2000 [ Because total.sum of money is Rs 2000]

⇒   50 x -  10 x + 800   =  2000

⇒So by equating we get as ,

⇒ 40  x  = 2000 - 800 { because if 800 come to right hand side it becomes into                                   minus }

⇒ 40 x  = 1200  

⇒ x = 1200 \ 40 

⇒x  = 30 Notes.

Therefore we get as,

⇒ No. of notes of Rs . 50 =  x = 30 Notes

⇒No . of notes of Rs.   10 =  80 - x   = 80 - 30  = 50 notes
