let the prizes be x,(x-20),(x-40) and (x-60). Sum of these prizes =280= x+(x-20)+(x-40)+(x-60)=> 280=4x-120=>4x=280+120=400=> x=100 .First prize is ₹100,Second prize is ₹80,Third Prize is ₹60 and ₹Fourth Prize is ₹40.
