The share of c is Rs 84

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The sum of money to be divided = Rs 427

The money is divided among a , b , c

Let The share amount of a = Rs x

   The share amount of b = Rs y

   The share amount of c = Rs z

i.e    x + y + z = Rs 427

According to question

3 times a's shares = 4 times b's share = 7 times c's share

i.e 3 x = 4 y = 7 z

Or,   x = \dfrac{4}{3} y                .......1

And z = \dfrac{4}{7} y                 .......2

Now,  \dfrac{4}{3} y + y + \dfrac{4}{7} y = 427

Or, \dfrac{28+12+21}{21} y = 427

Or, \dfrac{61}{21} y = 427

∴         y = \dfrac{427\times 21}{61}

i.e       y = Rs 147

So, The share of b = y = Rs 147

Put the value of y in eq 1 and eq 2

i.e    x = \dfrac{4}{3} y

or,    x = \dfrac{4\times 147}{3}

∴      x = Rs 196

So, The share of a = x = Rs 196

And z = \dfrac{4}{7} y

Or,   z = \dfrac{4\times 147}{7}

∴      z = Rs 84

So, The share of c = z = Rs 84

Hence, The share of c is Rs 84   Answer
