Thus, no. of Rs 10 notes = 90 - x

Now, multiply no. of notes with monetary value

Rs 5 notes = 5(x) = 5x

Rs 10 notes = 10(90 - x) = 900 - 10x

5x + 900 - 10x = 500

900 - 5x = 500

- 5x = 500 - 900 = -400

x = 400/5 = 80

Thus,

Rs 5 notes = 80

Rs 10 notes = 10
