when 5000 is shared among p,qand r in the ratio of 2:3:5 then,
p=5000×2÷10=1000
q=5000×3+10=1500
r=5000×5+10=2500
and if upon this 500 is added to each of them then
p=1500
q=2000
r=3000
then new ratio will be
3:4:6

Ratio =  2:3:5

Define x:

Let x be the constant ratio

Ratio =  2x : 3x : 5x

Solve x:

2x + 3x + 5x = 5000

10x = 5000

x = 500

Find the shares:

2x = 2(500) = 1000

3x = 3(500) = 1500

5x = 5(500) = 2500

Find the shares after increase:

2x + 500 = 1000 + 500 = 1500

3x + 500 = 1500 + 500 = 2000

5x + 500 = 2500 + 500 = 3000

Find their new ratio:

Ratio = 1500 : 2000 : 3000

Simplify by dividing by 500 :

Ratio = 3 : 4 : 6

Answer: The new ratio is 3 : 4 : 6
