Let the numbers of 10 rupees notes = x

numbers of 20 rupees notes = 50 - x

 

According to the condition, we get

 

10x + 20(50 - x) = 800

→ 10x - 20x + 1000 = 800

→  -10x = -200

→       x = 20 = numbers of 10 rupees notes  

 

numbers of 20 rupees notes = 50 - x = 50 - 20 = 30
