A sum was put in S.I. at certain rate for 2 years . Had it been put at 1%higher rate it would had given ₹24 more .Find original sum

Given,

Rate = 1%

Time = 2 years

S. I. = 24

To find, Principal P

s.i. =  \frac{p \times r \times t}{100}


24 =  \frac{p \times 1 \times 2}{100}


24 =  \frac{p}{50}


p = 24 \times 50


p = 1200


Principal P = Rs 1200.
