To Find :-

The Sum of Money of the Principal.

Given :-

  • Amount = ₹ 4130

  • Time = 3 years

  • Rate of interest = 6 % p.a.

We Know :-

SimPle Interest :

\blue{\bf{\boxed{SI = \dfrac{P \times R \times t}{100}}}}

Where :-

  • SI = Simple Interest

  • P = Principal

  • R = Rate of interest

  • t = Time period

Concept :-

Let the Principal be P and Simple Interest be I.

We know that ,

→ A = P + SI

Substituting the value of Amount and the taken Variable for the principal (i.e P) , we get :

→ ₹ 4130 = P + I

→ ₹ 4130 - P = I

→ l = ₹ 4130 - P

Hence ,

  • The Principal is ₹ P , and

  • Simple Interest is ₹ (4130 - P).

Solution :-

We Know :

  • Principal = P

  • Simple Interest = (4130 - P)

  • Rate of interest = 6 % p.a.

  • Time Period = 3 years.

Using the formula for simple Interest , and by substituting the values in it , we get :

\implies \bf{SI = \dfrac{P \times R \times t}{100}} \\ \\ \\ \implies \bf{(4130 - P) = \dfrac{P \times 6 \times 3}{100}} \\ \\ \\ \implies \bf{(4130 - P) = \dfrac{P \times 18}{100}} \\ \\ \\ \implies \bf{(4130 - P) \times 100 = P \times 18} \\ \\ \\ \implies \bf{413000 - 100P = 18P} \\ \\ \\ \implies \bf{413000 = 100P + 18P} \\ \\ \\ \implies \bf{413000 = 118P} \\ \\ \\ \implies \bf{\dfrac{413000}{118} = P} \\ \\ \\ \implies \bf{3500 = P} \\ \\ \\ \implies \purple{\bf{P = 3500}}

Hence, the sum of money or the Principal is ₹ 3500.
