to: Buy a pot and get the second one for half price. Which out of the two is a better discount offer for

Answer:

option 1

Step-by-step explanation:

First offer is better since if P = price of 500g of yoghurt,

1st offer gives 1500g for 2P

2nd offer gives 1000g for 1.5P ie, 1500g for 2.25P

Alternatively,

1st offer of 3 pots for 2P means 1 pot costs 2/3P

2nd offer 2pots for 3/2P means 1 pot for 3/4 P

2/3 < 3/4, so first offer is better.
