A supply of 24V is applied across a resistance combination consisting of the
following: three resistors of 6Ω, 12Ω and 36Ω connected in parallel and a fourth
resistor of 16.4Ω connected in series with the parallel group. Calculate: [ ]

Answer:

a) 1.2 b) 24 c) 4, 2 , 0.6

Explanation:

resultant resistance across parallel group is 1/R=1/6+1/24+1/36

1/R=10/36

b) R=3.6ohm

now, a) V=IR

I=V/R

I=24/20=1.2A

c) I= 24/6=4A

I=24/12=2A

I=24/36=0.6A
